ARE YOU PITCHING IN?

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Volunteers across Mississippi are transforming their communities by cleaning up litter, improving the environment and beautifying their hometowns.

What You Can Do

What You Can Do

Changing a common behavior, like littering, starts with you. Each person must accept responsibility for their actions and influence those around them at home, school, work, and in the community.

Choose not to litter – join with thousands of other Americans in making the commitment.

Say “no thanks” to plastic bags and bring your own reusable shopping bag.

Educate friends and family on Mississippi’s litter laws.

Get a litter bag or portable ash receptacles to share.

Remind others not to litter and why.

Volunteer in your community to help prevent and clean up litter—from cigarette butts to illegal dumps.

“We are inspired by the volunteers who power Keep Mississippi Beautiful and its affiliates across the state. Your commitment, creativity, and willingness to roll up your sleeves make a visible difference in every community you touch.  I am deeply grateful for the energy you bring to this mission and proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Thank you for showing, year after year, that a more beautiful Mississippi begins with dedicated people like you.”

Two children, a boy and a girl, wearing red shirts and gloves, stand outside near a yellow bucket, participating in a community clean-up event. They are smiling, and the boy wears a blue cap. There is a large logo on the bottom left that says 'Get Involved. Clean Green MS.'
