An affiliate is run by your own community — you set the priorities and pick the projects that matter most to your town or county. Keep Mississippi Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful simply back you up with structure, credibility, and know-how.

Carrying the Keep America Beautiful name signals to residents, businesses, and local government that your program is part of a trusted, results-driven national movement.

Affiliation connects you with other Mississippi communities doing the same work. See what’s succeeded for other affiliates and get advice from a neighboring county. Everyone here has the same goal in mind!

New affiliates receive guidance on the Keep America Beautiful Behavior Change System — proven tools for tackling litter, recycling, and beautification in ways that actually shift community habits, not just clean up for a day.

Affiliates are often first in line for funding opportunities, donated supplies, and program materials that would be harder to secure — or fund alone — as an independent group.

From Starkville's award-winning cleanup campaigns to smaller county efforts, Mississippi affiliates have shown that this framework turns volunteer energy into lasting change — cleaner roadsides, healthier waterways, and stronger community pride.
